What is new on streaming this month
A month is a lot of releases to keep track of, and most of the “what to watch” lists you find are padded out with things that came out two years ago. This is the short version: what is genuinely new, when it lands and which service it lands on.
Arriving in October
October is the heavier of the two months, mostly because the horror slate lands and three big returning seasons fall in the same fortnight.

Each title above lists the service that carries it. ScreenHouse is a separate subscription and is not affiliated with any of them — this list is here so you know what is new and where to find it.
The problem with a list like this
Look at the platforms column. Thirteen October titles are spread across seven different services. Following all of them properly means seven subscriptions, and the ad-free tiers of the six biggest now come to more than a hundred dollars a month between them.
That is the reason most households end up picking two or three and missing the rest — or paying for a service eleven months of the year for the one month something they want is on it. It is worth doing the arithmetic on what you actually pay before the next renewal comes round.
Live channels, sports and a films library on the devices you already own. One payment, no contract, nothing renews by itself.
